Air Canada’s Dubai-bound flight from Toronto faced disruptions on Monday as a person opened the cabin door and fell out of the plane just before take off.

As per media reports, the plane was Boeing 777 and it was on the tarmac at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

As per reports, Air Canada has launched an investigation into the incident while ensuring safety of all passengers.

The incident reportedly took place on flight AC056 on Monday while the aircraft was at the gate leaving the passenger injured.

After boarding the flight, the passenger did not take their seat directly. Instead, they opened the cabin door on the opposite side of the aircraft.

The passenger sustained wounds after falling on the tarmac. The flight, which was slated to carry 319 passengers, suffered a delay due to the incident but it departed at a later time.

Air Canada confirmed to multiple news outlets that all boarding and cabin operations were followed properly.

The incident was attended by emergency services and the police.

The Monday incident is not the first time that a passenger disrupted the flight operations.

Earlier, another disruption was reported by Air Canada. Earlier this month, Air Canada employees had to restrain an out-of-control teenager who allegedly attacked one of his own relatives while the plane was in the air. That flight was scheduled to fly to Calgary from Toronto.

However, due to the incident, the plane was diverted to Winnipeg, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said. The suspect was reported to be a 16-year-old.
